Kacey Cubero - Fill Your Cup
This is a superb Americana album from the talented Kacey Cubero .......worth a listen!

This is Danny George Wilson's second album fronting his loose and wonderful country/soul/folk collective, Danny And The Champions Of The World . This magnificent album is a must for anyone who enjoys classic songwriting, and country or folk music of any era.... songs drawn from life, with an unerring honesty and truthfulness that means they're yours too.....
Johnson's Crossroad is taking their love of the old time mountain music, bluegrass, and the Texas singer/songwriters of the 1970's and putting their own stamp on the ever widening and increasingly popular 'Americana' genre - nurturing a sound they like to call "Appalachian Soul." Excellent Music!!!
WISHING SKY, produced by Crockett at Blue Rock, features 13 timely and candid folk-pop story-songs; appearances and contributions by Jon Dee Graham, Ray Bonneville, Pierce Pettis and Lloyd Maines; a wide landscape of subjects and moods; flowing melodies and expressive lyrics; and the gusto of a man reunited with his first true love. Americana from an Artist that has been around of a number of years.

Fred Eaglesmith has followed his muse and the music to wherever it takes him since he left the family farm at age 15 to pursue the hitchhiking and freight-hopping trail of a traveling troubadour. As a result he has forged one of the most distinguished and unique independent careers in popular music from the grassroots upwards, marked by a consistent string of critical superlatives for his work. And now after being a leading light in both the new folk and Americana movements, Eaglesmith stays at the cutting edge of the musical zeitgeist to help spark a rock’n’roll renewal. “I still want to be vibrant and I still want to be on fire and I still have passion,” he asserts. “I don’t ever wanna stay in the ghetto.”

One of the greatest live Rock albums ever recorded and a must for every serious rock music collectors library.....3 good lead singers and two great guitarists in Peter Frampton and Steve Marriot..

Ellen Mary McGee- vocals, guitar, mandolin, harmonium, dulcimer, zither, banjo, glockenspiel, melodica, harmonica, percussion etc. This is a very impressive folk debut album.......
The 14-track CD will be co-produced by long-time collaborator Doyle Bramhall II and will feature guest appearances by singer-keyboardist Steve Winwood, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, singer Sheryl Crow, pianist composer Allen Toussaint and slide guitar master Derek Trucks.
Clapton remarked that the new album turned into an entirely different project than he had originally intended and that “it’s actually better than it was meant to be because, in a way, I just let it happen.” He also added that the album “(is) an eclectic collection of songs that weren’t really on the map (but) I like it so much because if it’s a surprise to the fans, that’s only because it’s a surprise to me as well.”
- Ritchie Hayward, drummer from legendary band Little Feat, has died aged 64. Known for his precise and intricate drumming, Hayward's style was an integral part of Little Feat's sound.....see BLOG
-The longest-running, most successful partnership in the history of rock takes flight anew, as legendary Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductees Carlos Santana & Clive Davis (Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment) collaborate on the brand new concept album, 'Guitar Heaven (The Greatest Guitar Classics of All-Time)', arriving in store September 20th. The album was co-produced by Carlos & Clive with help from Matt Serletic + Howard Benson.
Working from their collective encyclopaedic knowledge of rock, Carlos & Clive devised a list of guitar-centric titles, and then invited a Who's Who of vocalists to perform on every track. Guests featured here include: Chris Cornell (on Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love"), Pat Monahan (on Van Halen's "Dance the Night Away"), Chester Bennington & Ray Manzarek (on The Doors' "Riders on the Storm"), Rob Thomas (on Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love), Scott Weiland (on the Rolling Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'"), Chris Daughtry (on Def Leppard's "Photograph"), Gavin Rossdale (on T. Rex's "Bang a Gong"), rapper Nas (on AC/DC's "Back in Black"), veteran Joe Cocker (on Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing"), and more.
- Robert Plant has said that he feels disconnected from heavy rock after a seeing a Them Crooked Vultures show at The Royal Albert Hall in London. The Independent newspaper reports that Plant said his ears “bled for two days” afterwards!
“I feel so far away from heavy rock now,” he explained. “It's quite odd, how mine and John's paths seem to have crossed over – we've sort of gone into each others' worlds a bit." His new Americana album ‘Band Of Joy’ will be in Australian stores on September 10.
-We are very excited to announce that Kings of Leon will release the highly anticipated fifth album, Come Around Sundown, in October, 2010. It was recorded in New York at Avatar Studios and produced once again by Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King.
-Wilco members John Stirratt and Pat Sansone will release their fourth Autumn Defense album Once Around on November 2nd 2010 via Yep Roc Records. The band will perform during the Wilco-curated Solid Sound Festival on August 15th.
Founding Wilco member John Stirratt and multi-instrumentalist/current member Pat Sansone bring the sounds of a California summer to the fall when they release Once Around 11/2 on Yep Roc. The band's fourth full-length is filled with late 70s-tinged AM gold, all draped in melodies that seem to have always existed, resulting in songs that feel as though they've been floating on clouds, patiently waiting for their turn in the sun.
-Aussie country singer Kasey Chambers has new album out mid September

The amazing jazz trumpet of Christian Scott! Enjoy!
Holly Golightly new CD ‘Medicine County’ was written and recorded on a farmhouse just outside Athens in Georgia and as Holly says it’s “peppier” than the last album, in fact there’s only one slow song on the whole album which is probably down to the fact that this time they had a lot longer to work on the songs and recording, their last album was recorded in the middle of a very long European tour over a week or two in Spain.
So what does it sound like? Choc-full of ghostly blues, gut-bucket slide guitar, with a smattering of ol’ time country. This is just the disc for conjuring up the spirit of weird old America.
Anyone with an interest or liking for the music of The Band, Son House, or Hank Williams, sung by Nancy and Lee, should certainly check it out! http://www.hollygolightly.com
new album is essentially soul music, recorded over a few days. Already a four star album by MOJO magazine.
